Walnut Creek City Hall - Lobby Gallery

This exhibition highlights a joyful, intergenerational collaboration between the Redwoods class at Community Arts Preschool and the artists of the Clay Arts Guild, who together explored the world of transportation through storytelling, drawing, and sculpture. Guided by teachers Ms. Kristin Birdwell and Ms. Bobbie Ireland, the preschoolers created imaginative cut‑paper vehicles that inspired Guild members to transform the children’s vibrant 2D designs into carefully crafted ceramic sculptures. The final collection celebrates creativity, learning, and connection across generations, with each finished sculpture thoughtfully gifted back to the young artist who envisioned it.
