Calicraft Brewing Co., founded in 2012, is expanding its presence in Walnut Creek and the Bay Area with a two-phase growth plan. The first phase, celebrated with a ribbon cutting on May 8, 2025, includes relocating its original taproom to a newly opened 6,500-square-foot outdoor beer garden in the Shadelands Business District, featuring a 40-foot shipping container bar, fire pits, picnic areas and outdoor TVs. The second phase, slated for completion in 2026, involves constructing a 10,000-square-foot, two-story facility that will house a brewery, winery, distillery and restaurant, all under the Calicraft brand. Alongside this, the company plans to open three additional taprooms across the Bay Area, marking a major expansion of its footprint in the region’s craft beverage scene.
