Project Description
Joybound (formerly Tony La Russa’s Animal Rescue Foundation) proposes construction of a new 12,577 s.f. single-story (cultural institution use) requiring a Conditional Use Permit and Design Review and Environmental Review as lot is over 10,000 s.f and does not qualify for infill CEQA exemption. The new building will expand Joybound’s existing programs which have reached maximum capacity. The project will add indoor and outdoor play and agility yards, large indoor pet exercise and training facilities, and additional dog kennels. The building’s design will closely match existing campus facilities.
